Conference mission and target
ECOLOGY IN ELECTRONICS
The purpose of
the Vth Conference “Ecology in electronics”
is the continuation of its traditional mission to establish a
forum for the exchange of knowledge on ecological aspects
of designing and manufacturing electronic systems, reuse
of components and recycled materials used in electronic
equipment.
Main target of the conference is strengthening among
participants, the familiarity with principles and the
application aspects of EU Directives on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), on the Restriction of the use of
certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic
equipment (RoHS) and on Eco-Design Requirements for Energy-Using
Products (EuP).
Fulfilling the mission and achieving the main target of the
conference depends on the active participation of people from
academia, research institutes and industry. We cordially invite
all of them and hope the conference will create an effective
platform for communication and cooperation between specialists
from governmental, industrial, educational and other sectors.

Seminar mission and
target
“Green Electronics”
The conference will start with the
seminar „Green Electronics” which aims at the exchange of experience
and widening of research and business cooperation between Europe and
China in the range of “green electronics”.
During the seminar the issues concerning the performance of the
European project EC-GEPRO (Europe-China Cooperation in Green
Electronics Production Research) will be presented.
Presentations, demonstrations and the exchange of Best Practices in
Europe and China are expected to be given during the seminar
according to the selected topics, are very important factors for
development of the future mutual undertakings in the range of
environmental friendly electronics.
Conference / seminar selected topics:
A. General problems of sustainable development in the
electronics field.
B. Methods of energy consumption
and weight reduction in the electronics products
C. Eco-design methods of
electronics systems. The criteria for choosing materials and
components which could be reused
D. Environment friendly
technologies for manufacturing components, PCB and electronic
equipment
E. Technologies applied for
dismantling used products, sorting and estimating the quality of the
recovered parts and components
F. Technologies used for
recovering raw materials from electronic products and utilizing
remaining waste
G. Logistic, economical and
educational issues concerning ecologically oriented design of
electronic equipment and utilization of the used products.
